Breaking the Rapist's Bond: A Dream

How to take a stand for my rapist not to stay
As winds howled around us and rain drowned the day
We fought through our issues between flashes of light
Revealing imperfections as they lit up the sky
Thunderous booms came -- his voice or mine?
Softball-sized hail; we're running out of time
The force of his wrath turned to tornadic winds
I didn't hide, I spoke my mind; I stood up to him
And suddenly, the storm was done, a rainbow in the sky
My rapist left without a word, not even a goodbye
A past gone forever, thanks to an angel's storm
I'm washed clean and pure as the day that I was born
